Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join Mercer's sales team. This is a hybrid role based in one of the following locations: Houston, Los Angeles, Charlotte, Miami, or Tampa.The Senior Sales Executive plays a critical role in driving the growth of our Total Rewards Products and Services by leading the acquisition and development of net-new Mid-market clients within a focused territory. This position requires a proactive and motivated individual who excels at prospecting, nurturing sales opportunities, and collaborating closely with Market Sales Leaders to deliver comprehensive workforce solutions.
Senior Sales Executive
We will count on you to:
- Prospect and generate new client leads through targeted email campaigns, phone outreach, and in-person visits.
- Manage and develop self-generated sales opportunities as well as leads from Lead Generation teams.
- Participate actively in proposal development, negotiation, and closing of deals related to Total Rewards Products and Services.
- Collaborate closely with Market Sales Leaders to educate clients on a broad range of workforce solutions beyond Total Rewards offerings.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to maximize lifetime revenue and ensure client satisfaction.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in Total Rewards, HR solutions, or related fields.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage clients effectively.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to prospect and close sales independently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a sales team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working specifically with mid-market clients and understanding their unique needs.
- Familiarity with comprehensive workforce solutions beyond Total Rewards offerings.
- A proactive approach to identifying and nurturing sales opportunities.
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of closing complex deals.
- Ability to build long-term client relationships that drive sustained revenue growth.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $97,000 to $194,500.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
