A leading life insurer is seeking a senior professional to join its 1.5 line of defense team, focusing on risk oversight and performing internal control reviews and testing.

Your new role

• Lead initiatives to improve operational resilience, including mapping critical processes, assessing risks, and running scenario tests.
• Oversee risk assessments and control reviews, ensuring findings translate into practical improvements.
• Develop and implement quality assurance programs to boost efficiency across Hong Kong and Macau operations.
• Work closely with compliance, risk, and audit teams to enhance processes and meet regulatory standards.
• Drive projects that streamline controls and align with regional frameworks and best practices.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or related field;
• Professional certifications (CPA, CIA, FRM) are a plus.
• Minimum 10-12 years' experience in audit, risk, compliance, or quality assurance within insurance.
• Strong knowledge of control frameworks, risk methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence senior leaders and mentor others.
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese.
