Your new role
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in applying accounting principles to analyse financial information and prepare accurate reports. You will be responsible for compiling profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and control procedures. In addition, you will manage one Assistant Accountant in the office.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end process, including preparation of journals and reconciliations
• Prepare statutory and management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Mentor junior finance team members and liaise with internal and external auditors
• Oversee tax compliance, including GST, PAYG, FBT, and income tax obligations
• Prepare BAS and fringe benefits returns and advise on tax strategies
• Manage banking, payment runs, and cash flow forecasting
• Assist with system implementations and continuous process improvements
• Contribute to budgeting and operational planning
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and OH&S standards

What you'll need to succeed

Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar, CPA/CA qualified

Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation laws

Advanced communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities

Proficiency in any large-scale ERP software would be advantageous
