Are you a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant looking to step into a role with real visibility and impact across a business which is growing?
This is an opportunity to join a supportive finance team where your insights will help shape operational decisions and contribute to ongoing growth. We're currently partnering with a well-established national organisation seeking a hands-on Management Accountant to join their team. Working closely with the Finance Manager and leaders across various departments, you'll play a key role in delivering meaningful reporting, strengthening controls, and driving financial performance. In this broad and interesting role, you will take ownership of core management accounting responsibilities, including:Management Reporting & Month-End

• Preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Posting journals, accruals, and other month-end adjustments.
• Ensuring the general ledger accurately reflects business activity.
• Supporting the development and upkeep of monthly reporting packs.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assisting with the annual budgeting cycle and ongoing forecasting.
• Building financial models and undertaking scenario analysis.
• Partnering with operational teams to understand key drivers and trends.

Financial Analysis

• Identifying risks, opportunities, and performance insights across business units.
• Supporting analysis by service line, department, and revenue stream.
• Contributing to business cases and cost-benefit modelling.

Business Partnering

• Collaborating with senior leaders to promote financial understanding and accountability.
• Presenting insights in a clear and engaging way to non-finance stakeholders.
• Supporting continuous improvement across systems and processes.

Financial Accounting & Controls

• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate records.
• Assisting with fixed asset management and depreciation calculations.
• Supporting cashflow reporting, bank reconciliations, and general ledger integrity.
• Contributing to year-end processes, audit preparation, and compliance requirements.
• Maintaining strong internal controls and assisting with policy documentation.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or similar.
• CA/CPA/CIMA qualification or working towards completion.
• 2-4+ years' experience in management accounting, financial accounting, or analytical roles.
• Strong analytical capability with high attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Confident communication skills with the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and willingness to be hands-on.
