Retirement & Income Solutions (RIS) Marketing
MetLife Retirement & Income Solutions (RIS) helps institutional customers create a more secure financial future for themselves and their key stakeholders. The products in our portfolio include annuities, funding agreements, life insurance, and stable value investments, all of which are delivered with excellence through our decades of knowledge and deep understanding of market needs.

As a strategic partner to the RIS business, the RIS Marketing Team is charged with developing and executing value-driven marketing solutions that build awareness of our leadership in the retirement space and drive engagement with Plan Sponsors and Intermediaries to help RIS build remarkable and enduring customer relationships.

Role Overview :

The RIS Marketing Consultant II role supports the retirement income and structured settlements businesses with primary focus on developing and implementing marketing initiatives that deliver on business goals . The candidate will work as part of a cross-functional agile team to define, develop and execute marketing programs and campaigns, along with the associated measurement plans, that drive customer engagement and sales growth.

Working in partnership with the Customer Marketing Director, this individual will support the translation of business needs and objectives into tangible marketing strategies that drive measurable impact. Support areas in the development and execution of those strategies and tactics will include:
  • Implement integrated marketing campaigns designed to drive new business value
  • Development of digital content aligned with defined engagement strategies, including the paid media plan. This requires working closely with creative agencies and other marketing vendors.
  • Development and execution of lead generation campaigns targeted at multiple audiences, including management of prospect lead lists and scoring.
  • Participation in annual planning and ongoing program / budget monitoring
  • Participation in value proposition development and market activation planning
  • Conference planning, execution, and measurement in close partnership with industry publications and associations, RIS business partners, and Communications.
  • Development and management of promotion, campaign, and activity calendar for respective lines of business to provide a holistic view of all programs
  • Partners with analytics to build measurable plans and makes recommendations for optimizing programs and activities.
  • Partners across the broader Global Brand and Marketing team to adopt and implement best practices within the business marketing team.
  • Leads status calls with the business and external partners.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the retirement income and structured settlements businesses, their products, distribution, and ecosystem of audiences.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:
  • 3 years of relevant marketing experience that is inclusive of go-to-market strategy, execution, and success measurement
  • Ability to work across different teams and functions in a heavily matrixed environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in different data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) and communication tools (e.g, PowerPoint)
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to advise, influence, manage and lead cross functional teams
  • Eagerness to learn and continuously improve
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Undergraduate degree or relevant experience
  • Has consistent values with MetLife culture -collaboration, trust, and customer first

Preferred:
  • Financial services or insurance industry experience
  • Agency experience
  • Experience with copy writing considered an asset
